Individual Therapy
I provide individual counseling to adults for a range of life and career related experiences and needs. A mentor once shared that 'through vulnerability comes strength' and, while I believe the wisdom of this principle, it requires safety and trust. Given the intimate nature of the counseling relationship, I value taking the steps needed to create a safe, confidential space for sharing and trust building. I honor the courage it takes to engage in this process and am committed to working with you in realizing your goals.
In regard to the outcomes of psychotherapy, it is often used to gain insight into painful experiences and to develop skills needed to manage them, however, it also fosters personal growth and efforts for thriving and realizing our greater life-affirming potentials. In these regards, psychotherapy is very much a journey and I welcome being part of yours with you.

Performance Counseling
While it could be said that individual therapy is largely focused on the 'being' aspects of our lives, performance counseling focuses on the 'doing' aspects. We live in a performance-based culture and society - whether if be in our work (vocational) or personal (avocational) efforts. Performance has many expressions and challenges, and just as many impacts on our lives. To the positive, it can be aspirational, affirming, thrilling or fun, and inspire motivation and creative expression; conversely, it can be anxiety-provoking, exhausting or even demoralizing (e.g., experiences such as imposter syndrome). Regardless of whether you are pursuing a personal goal, or preparing for a high-stakes exam or speech, I will bring 25 years of experience working with students, trainees and professionals at the University of Minnesota to see that your performance efforts are more efficient, effective, and (ultimately) satisfying.

Supervision & Consultation
Empowerment is one of my core values and I recognize the roles education, consultation, and clinical supervision play in fostering professional growth and development.
I provide supervision for individuals seeking licensure as a psychologist in Minnesota - contact me for more information.

I welcome consultation opportunities to collaborate with groups, organizations, and other health professionals in developing (or contributing to) projects that would benefit from psychologically-informed perspectives. Contact me for a free consultation to discuss specifics.
